VALTTERI BOTTAS has poked fun at his Mercedes team after posting a cheeky message on social media. Bottas finished the race in fifth place while team-mate Lewis Hamilton took his 100th victory in F1. Damon Hill said: “You can’t get away from the fact that the guy who came second started the race behind him and his team-mate won the race. “Valtteri, in the race, we were expecting him to put up a little bit of a defence to fight the Mercedes corner against the Red Bull team and Verstappen, but he seemed to just wave him through. Bottas will be replaced by George Russell next season but Merc will not be rushed in to replacing him early.
