Thierry Neuville hasn’t given up on a maiden FIA World Rally Championship title despite conceding his chances look ‘complicated’ ahead of this week’s Rally Turkey (18 – 20 September). The Hyundai Motorsport pilot slipped to fifth in the points and is realistic about his championship chances, but pointed out that things can change quickly – especially on unpredictable rough rallies like Turkey. “For Turkey we will follow the plan to finish ahead [of our title rivals] as we were doing in Estonia. The upside to Neuville’s miserable round four outing is a preferable place in the Turkey running order when he will start fifth on Friday and the first half of Saturday.
