Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc hit out on Thursday at those who accused him of racist behaviour in not taking a knee alongside other Formula One drivers before grands prix. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has decided not to take a knee before the start of F1 races. Leclerc was last week one of seven drivers who opted not to kneel before the British Grand Prix. ‘It is very sad to see how some people manipulate my words to make headlines making me sound like a racist,’ Leclerc, 22, said on Twitter moments before attending a 70th Anniversary Grand Prix news conference. F1 drivers have either taken a knee or stood before races, in support of Black Lives Matter.
