GARY LINEKER has taken a fresh swipe at the FIA over Max Verstappen’s controversial Formula 1 world championship win. The former footballer, 61, co-hosted the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year Awards last night. Lineker had been left fuming by FIA race director Michael Masi’s ‘unfair’ decision that effectively handed Verstappen the world title in Abu Dhabi earlier this month.
