ANALYSIS: FP4 pace shines favourably on Quartararo

Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) has reason to be confident of upstaging Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and winning the 2022 MotoGP™ World Championship – and not just because he out-qualified his title rival by four positions at the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana. The reigning Champion rescued P4 in QP, and is confident of holding up his end of the bargain in the title fight at the Valencia GP. It is also worth pointing out that, like most, both Quartararo and Bagnaia were using hard rubber on the front and the medium compound on the rear. So, will it be two titles in a row for Quartararo, or is Bagnaia going to write himself into history as just Ducati’s second Riders’ Champion?
