Yohan Rossel held his own against stiff opposition to take home the spoils in WRC3 at Renties Ypres Rally Belgium on Sunday. Rossel, driving a Citroën C3 Rally2, took the lead early on Friday after fending off rivals who included former Ypres winners and Belgian champions. Bedoret’s Škoda Fabia Rally2 developed a transmission issue, which meant the 26-year-old had to continue with only front-wheel-drive. “I am extremely happy for this result and the work from the whole team, it feels great,” beamed Rossel. Pieter Jan Michiel Cracco rounded out a troublefree weekend with second in his Škoda. He had a hefty 1min 15.4sec advantage over the struggling Bedoret, who eventually ended fourth. He was just 5.1sec down on Bedoret, with Bernd Casier 21.7sec further back in a Ford Fiesta Rally2.
