Sébastien Bedoret stormed to the WRC3 category lead with a stunning drive on Saturday at Renties Ypres Rally Belgium. The Belgian youngster started 23.6sec behind early leader Yohan Rossel, who was driving a Citroën C3 Rally2. He quickly moved in front thanks to a hat-trick of quickfire stage wins throughout the morning. Bedoret had the upper hand though, and he fended off Rossel’s charge to end the day in front by just 0.9sec. “It’s a very good feeling,” beamed the Škoda Fabia Rally2 driver. “It’s amazing to drive the World Rally Championship in Belgium. He trailed Rossel by 22.9sec, but had a hefty 31.6sec advantage over Vincent Verschueren’s similar car.
