M-Sport Ford World Rally Team principal Richard Millener is convinced his team is on the brink of a first WRC2 win of the season with Adrien Fourmaux. The Frenchman set fastest times and was right at the sharp end of the pace last time out in Portugal – only a pair of Friday afternoon punctures kept him from fighting for a podium and possibly that elusive win for the Ford Fiesta Rally2. Ahead of Fourmaux’s next WRC outing in Sardinia, Millener said: “Adrien had an absolutely fantastic weekend in Portugal. Jari Huttunen was the last driver to win a WRC2 round in a Fiesta, the Finn winning the 2021 ACI Rally Monza.
