Andreas Mikkelsen continued to assert dominance in the WRC’s premier support category by taking four out of five stage wins on Friday at Rallye Monte-Carlo. Mikkelsen arrived back at the Gap service area on Friday afternoon with a 47.1sec advantage over Adrien Fourmaux and an impressive seventh overall. Citroën C3 Rally2 pilot Eric Camilli found himself a hefty 2min 11.6sec back from the leader in third, although he could take solace from his comfortable 5min 5.5sec advantage over Marco Bulacia behind. However, he suffered a puncture on his Citroën during the penultimate stage of the day and dropped three minutes.
