Wounded Quartararo Earns 10th MotoGP Pole

ARAGON, Spain – Despite a trip to the medical center following a crash in the third free practice session, MotoGP championship leader Fabio Quartararo still took the pole during qualifying for the Michelin Grand Prix of Aragón on Saturday at Motorland Aragón. Quartararo posted a best lap of 1:47.076 for Petronas Yamaha SRT en route to capturing his 10th career premier class pole position. The 21-year-old Frenchman will seek his fourth career win in his 29th start on Sunday. Quartararo will be joined on the front row by Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Maverick Viñales, who was just .046 seconds back, and LCR Honda Castrol’s Cal Crutchlow. Franco Morbidelli, Quartararo’s teammate, starts fourth alongside Pramac Racing’s Jack Miller and Team Suzuki Ecstar’s Joan Mir.
