Every so often a Formula One team releases a car that you can’t help but have a second glance at. To date it remains the only closed wheel car to have ever won a world championship race. Other teams including Williams and Ferrari tried similar concepts before the FIA and F1 cars strictly limited teams to building cars with only the conventional four wheels. The dummy spitters got their way and the fan car was instantly banned after the race meaning it never saw a grand prix again. There were hopes the 2008 car could right the wrongs of the previous year. It would prove to be the team’s final car after folding ahead of the 2015 campaign.
