Talladega Superspeedway, Slinger Speedway and the mountains of Kentucky will be among the venues taking centerstage in the racing world this weekend. Action begins Thursday at 411 Motor Speedway before the series moves to the quarter-mile Talladega bullring for events on Friday and Saturday. High-speed racing action and crashes are the norm at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway and both will be in the offing as the NASCAR Cup Series headlines a three-event weekend at the 2.66-mile track. A doubleheader will be on the card on Saturday with ARCA Menards Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series both in action. Ross Chastain and Chase Elliott won last year’s Cup Series races at Talladega. That trend continued, with both the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget Series events called off.
