‘We’re not exactly going to have dinner together’: Max Verstappen lifts the lid on his ‘tense’ F1 rivalry with Lewis Hamilton just days after calling the Brit a ‘stupid idiot’ amid their world title battle

Max Verstappen claims that while his Formula One rivalry with Lewis Hamilton has been ‘tense’ there still remains mutual respect between them as their battle for the championship heats up. At the British Grand Prix in Silverstone back in July, Hamilton was penalised for forcing Verstappen off the track in a high speed incident that led to the Red Bull driver going to hospital, with Hamilton going on to win the race. I just go step by step, and race by race to try and get the most possible points, every time.’. Although just 24-years-old, Verstappen is now one of the most experienced drivers on the grid having made his debut back in 2015 at just 17-years-old.
