Max Verstappen has strongly denied claims from rival Lewis Hamilton that this year’s Red Bull is quicker than any of the Brit’s title-winning Mercedes cars. Mercedes claimed seven championships in a row between 2014 and 2020 – with Hamilton winning six of them. Verstappen has now hit back at Hamilton, after the most successful driver in Formula One history claimed that the Red Bull car was the ‘quickest’ he has ever seen. Still, we are not as dominant as Mercedes has shown some years. Hamilton has claimed six of his seven championships with Mercedes since making the switch to them from McLaren in 2013.
