Motorsport Network photographer Ercole Colombo, recalls some his favourite memories of “Il commendatore” – or as Colombo called him “l’Ingegnere” – Enzo Ferrari, on the weekend of the Italian Grand Prix and the celebrations of the Scuderia’s 90th year.
Speaking from his studio in Monza, Colombo shows off mementos and memories from his career as an F1 photographer, spanning over 700 grands prix and talks openly about his legendary with the legendary Ferrari founder.
He explains what it was like to navigate a tricky relationship with Ferrari as a journalist, and reveals the story behind Ferrari’s last visit to the F1 garage.
