From a needless FP3 crash in 2018 to a patient challenge for victory this year, the two most recent Monaco Grands Prix typify just how much Max Verstappen has matured.
But that was followed by a superb run of form over the remainder of the year, and Verstappen has kept up that momentum in 2019 by finishing third or fourth in the six races so far – which included hounding Lewis Hamilton for victory last weekend in Monaco.
