Max Verstappen will start from the pole for Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. Even though it was raining in Montreal, Verstappen put down a fast lap of 1:21.299s around Circuit Gilles Villeneuve to take the pole. Verstappen’s pole time was 0.645s ahead of Fernando Alonso, who placed second. The top five was completed by Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton and Haas driver Kevin Magnussen.
