Vergne heads DS TECHEETAH one-two in qualifying ahead of the Berlin E-Prix Round 14

Jean-Eric Vergne headed a front-row lockout for DS TECHEETAH with a 13th Formula E Julius Baer Pole Position ahead of the BMW i Berlin E-Prix presented by CBMM Niobium Round 14 with an eye-of-the-needle lap as the last driver to run in Super Pole, with the team stealing a march in the title chase. Jean-Eric Vergne’s teammate and reigning champion Antonio Felix da Costa had set the benchmark earlier in Super Pole after he pipped Lucas di Grassi’s initial effort. “We knew it was important coming here to get pole and those points – and to put ourselves in the best position to win,” said Vergne. The Brazilian was first to run in Super Pole and a 1m6.427s was a solid effort out of the gate. Da Costa’s 1m06.486s was a strong effort and saw him make Super Pole.
