MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A pair of SPEED SPORT writers were recognized with first-place awards in the annual Pocono Raceway Eastern Motorsports Press Ass’n Writer’s Contest. Ron Hedger and Jim Donnelly each received first-place awards for pieces that appeared in SPEED SPORT Magazine. Hedger received top honors in the Feature category for his “50 Years of Super DIRT Week” piece from the September 2022 issue of SPEED SPORT. Donnelly was the winner in the Personality Profile category for “A Racer By Two Names” that appeared in the January 2022 SPEED SPORT Magazine. Hedger was also recognized with a second-place award in the Race Report Category.
