Turkey replaces Singapore on the F1 calendar as the Istanbul Park Grand Prix is reinstated for 2021 having been cancelled earlier this year after the Government had placed the country on its red list

Formula One bosses have announced that Turkey will fill the void left by the Singapore Grand Prix on October 3. Turkey’s Istanbul Park – despite itself being axed earlier this year after the country was placed on the Government’s red list – is now set to take its place. ‘We have shown that we can continue to adapt and there is huge interest in our sport and the hope from many locations to have a grand prix. The Mexican and Brazilian Grands Prix – on October 31 and November 7 respectively – are vulnerable given that both countries are recording among the highest number of Covid-19 cases in the world.
