The season finale in Abu Dhabi is always a highlight, with a visually spectacular setting and world-class facilities providing a fitting backdrop to the world’s fastest roadshow as it reaches its climax. One of the highlights for the neutral this year has undoubtedly been the incredibly close midfield battle, which raged throughout the year before eventually being decided at the Yas Marina Circuit. It wasn’t the way anyone wanted Checo’s last race with the team to go, but even in the short space of time he was on track, he once again showed his fighting spirit. The Yas Marina Circuit isn’t known for overtaking – but Lance’s battle with Charles Leclerc was one of the highlights of the race. It was an emotional weekend for the team, as we waved goodbye to Checo after seven memorable years with our racing family.
