Tom Oliphant was left singing the praises of his West Surrey Racing team and the volunteer marshals in attendance at Oulton Park following the latest rounds of the 2021 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, as the 30-year-old aims to put the weekend behind him and look firmly ahead. Despite his best efforts, Oliphant would manage a best time of 1:26.044s, which was good enough for 14th. Attended to by marshals within seconds of the impact, Oliphant thankfully walked away unscathed from the incident – testament to the build of modern-day touring cars. “Coming into the weekend, that wasn’t what I had in mind,” admitted Oliphant.
