Third Straight Week With Day On Top In National Rankings

Corey Day will enter his rookie run at the Knoxville Nationals this week as the leader in the National Sprint Car Rankings for the third consecutive week. The California teenager has eight victories and an average finish of 4.269 over 26 starts. One hundred and one drivers have made the 20 starts required to be eligible for the rankings and 799 racers have run a winged 410 sprint car race this season. Freddie Rahmer holds the top spot in the Eastern region, while Joe B. Miller has a commanding advantage in the Mid-America region. Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes region, with Dobmeier on top of the Great Plains region. Day paces the Western stanza with Trey Starks on top in the Northwest region.
