The best hot hatches of the 2010s

Finishing our series on the very best hot hatches of the last five decades we come to the last decade, a time of big change for the world of hot hatchbacks. While some got bigger, more powerful and a bit more… comfortable, others managed to stay sharp and attempt to keep that lightweight sharp drive spirit the hot hatch was born with. The 2010s saw the birth of the Volkswagen Golf R (following on from the R32) and the death of the Ford Focus RS. It saw the spirit of the Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk1 reborn in the Up! GTI and RenaultSport begin to decline from the top of the hot hatch tree. Which of these legendary hatches is your favourite?
