STATESVILLE, N.C. — The Super Cup Stock Car Series will be part of the Racetrack Revival at North Wilkesboro Speedway during its Aug. 6 throwback-themed weekend. “What better way to bring ‘Racing the Way It Used to Be’ to a track with such history and an event with a ‘throwback’ theme.”. The historic 0.625-mile track will host a multi-week grassroots racing event featuring multiple different series through the month of August. The month of August events will be the final chance to race on the surface that the NASCAR Cup Series last competed in 1996 and has otherwise sat relatively dormant over the past decade.
