Strategy Lifts Power To 95th Podium Finish

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Will Power used strategy to his benefit to collect his best finish of the NTT IndyCar Series season Sunday at Barber Motorsports Park. Power, the reigning series champion, started 11th and finished third aboard the Team Penske No. Like his teammate, Scott McLaughlin, who won the race, Power used a three-stop strategy to his benefit during the 90-lap contest. Power ranks seventh in the standings after four races, but is pleased with his team’s performance. “I would say in the start of my season, it’s just been pretty good,” Power said. “I wouldn’t say it’s a bad start of the season at all. “Indy is a very, very different animal in terms of the 500,” Power said.
