Starting Gate Set For Indy SX, Sexton Leads 450SX Class

It’s already come time for round nine of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season and the starting gate is set at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. To no one’s surprise, Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton scored his seventh fast-qualifier award of the season with a 45.215-second lap. Motorsports’ Ken Roczen qualified in the runner-up position for a second consecutive week. Points leader and Star Racing Yamaha rider Eli Tomac qualified fifth, nearly half-a-second off of Sexton’s fast time. Red Bull KTM rider Cooper Webb, currently second in points, qualified sixth. Jordon Smith was the fastest qualifier for the first time in his 250SX career during the first qualifying session in Indianapolis, but Hunter Lawrence stole the top spot during the final session of the day.
