GEORGE RUSSELL will get a ticking off from Mercedes boss Toto Wolff after his 200mph smash with Valtteri Bottas. But Wolff has cleared Bottas of any wrong-doing, calling it “BS” and is now planning to have words with Russell himself. Wolff said: “I said [to George], if he does a good job he can be in a Mercedes, if not we’re doing the Renault Clio Cup and we’re more close to the Renault Clio Cup.”. Russell has since rowed back from his initial blast of Bottas and said he intends to call him up this week to clear the air.
