SOMERSET, Ky. — Officials with the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series and XR Super Series have postponed the Spring Thaw 100 at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn., that was scheduled for March 23-25 due to an unfavorable weekend weather forecast. With the Spring Thaw now rescheduled for April 13-15, the weekend will open on Thursday April 13 with an open practice for super late models and modifieds. Racing action will get underway on Friday April 14 with a pair of $5,000-to-win feature events for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series/XR Super Series co-sanctioned super late models, while the Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series will open their season with a $1,500-to-win feature contest.
