Lando Norris won the AutoNation INDYCAR Challenge on Saturday, April 25 at Circuit of The Americas from the pole with crushing pace, but the victory was anything but a joy ride to the checkered flag. One driver Norris drove to a 1.445-second victory over Arrow McLaren SP teammate Pato O’Ward. Experienced sim racer Norris decided to make his first pit stop on Lap 11, one lap before a competition caution. Then self-induced trouble arrived at the end of that lap, nearly ruining Norris’ race. By Lap 24, Norris pulled to within seven-tenths of a second of leader O’Ward.
