Oliver Solberg steered clear of his rivals to clinch a maiden WRC 3 victory on Sunday at Rally Estonia. Driving a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, he avoided any further drama and clinched the WRC 3 win by 59.0sec. It was a tough stage, my left front [tyre] was very bad in the end there. Very tough with different conditions every time but it was good fun,” explained Solberg at the end of the closing Wolf Power Stage. Karl Kruuda rounded out the top five in his Polo, 4min04.9sec adrift of the leading pace by the end of the rally. The Estonian was just 7.8sec in front of Citroën driver Nicolas Ciamin who finished sixth.
