Aston Martin have announced they will delay confirming their driver line-up until Friday morning with Sebastian Vettel still yet to test negative for Covid-19. Along with Vettel, McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo missed the entirety of pre-season testing in Bahrain after he tested positive, but he has since returned to action. Drivers will be banned from the paddock if they return a positive test, even in a country where isolation is not required. Vettel is not used to being out of the paddock and Bahrain was just the first race weekend since the 2007 European Grand Prix that an F1 race didn’t have Vettel as an official competitor.
