Sebastian Vettel facing anxious wait to see if he can return for Saudi Arabia GP after Aston Martin star’s Covid battle

ASTON MARTIN are still waiting to discover if Sebastian Vettel will be fit enough to race in this weekend’s Saudi Arabian GP. Nico Hulkenberg replaced Vettel in Bahrain and says he will definitely be in Jeddah this week just in case. Aston’s team boss, Mike Krack, said Vettel, 34, has to follow the guidelines and cannot race until he tests negative. Aston Martin endured a miserable first race with Lance Stroll finishing 12th and Hulkenberg in 17th in Bahrain. And Krack says their result was not helped by Vettel’s absence as they try to resolve their aerodynamic problems. He added: “It [Vettel’s absence] came at the point where we really do not need it because you have no references at all.
