Lewis Hamilton (1st, 1:31.304): “That was one of the toughest Qualifying sessions I can remember, proper heart in your mouth the whole way. We didn’t have enough fuel in the car to do another lap, so had no choice but to box. On my side, I’m happy with the result and the car was really good through all three sessions. It’s great to be starting where we are, and we can have a look at the cars in front. That was almost a perfect lap and he couldn’t quite get there in Q3. We had the car to go to Q2 but if you don’t put a lap on the board, you start at the back. I think if our session wasn’t interrupted, we could have made it to Q3. We didn’t have any drama in Q1, and Q2 was looking promising for both cars. It’s great to get a car into Q3 and overall it was a good Qualifying session.
