RICH ENERGY BTC RACING BATTLES TO TAKE SILVERWARE IN NORTH YORKSHIRE

Rich Energy BTC Racing endured a mixed weekend at Croft during the latest rounds of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (25/26 June), with a second-place finish for title contender Josh Cook being the reward for the squad’s efforts. With Cook and team-mates Jason Plato and Jade Edwards qualifying 20th, 18th and 25th for race one in North Yorkshire respectively, the trio had work to do in the opener to break into the points-paying positions. “We scored some points which was a bonus, but races one and two were not good in terms of our speed compared to the others,” said Cook. “We are all working really hard within the team,” said Plato, “but it is frustrating that we can’t put people under pressure. “To see Josh get second place in race three is great as that keeps him in the championship fight. We are all out for ourselves initially but, as a team player, it’s great to see.
