When Austria returned to the MotoGP™ calendar in 2016, the event was named Best Grand Prix – and three years later the myWorld Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich reclaimed the honour as the Red Bull Ring was once again voted best of the season by IRTA, ratified by the Grand Prix Commission.
On Friday, the award for Best Grand Prix was officially handed over in Austria, with Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta personally presenting the trophy to Red Bull CEO Dietrich Mateschitz.
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports: “I am very happy to see Austria once again voted the Best Grand Prix and to be here in this beautiful country to present the award directly to Dietrich Mateschitz.
