Red Bull chief Helmut Marko DOESN’T fear losing Max Verstappen to bitter rivals Mercedes if Lewis Hamilton walks away from F1… with huge crash at Silverstone leaving ‘too big a crack’ to see Dutchman switch sides

Helmut Marko has claimed Red Bull don’t fear losing Max Verstappen to fierce rivals Mercedes even if Lewis Hamilton leaves. Hamilton went on to win the race and celebrated, leaving Red Bull, Max and Josh Verstappen furious. When asked how contract talks with Verstappen will be affected by Hamilton potentially leaving Mercedes, Marko told Autorevue: ‘I do not think that Max will leave us then. Shortly after winning the title in December, Verstappen stated his intention to stay with Red Bull. Like Verstappen with Red Bull, Hamilton’s contract with Mercedes ends in 2023 but it’s still unclear whether he will continue with his illustrious F1 career.
