Max Verstappen maiden world title will remain in his custody after the FIA decided against docking points as punishment for Red Bull’s budget cap breach. Red Bull have been fined £6million for breaching the 2021 Formula One cost cap and have been dealt a restriction on the aerodynamic testing for the next 12 months, potentially limiting their performance in 2023. The FIA and Cost Cap Administration have made it clear that ‘there is no accusation or evidence that Red Bull Racing (RBR) has sought at any time to act in bad faith, dishonestly or in a fraudulent manner’. The FIA statement said: ‘Red Bull must pay a Financial Penalty of $7m to the FIA within 30 days of the date of execution of the ABA.
