3 team for Richard Childress Racing driven by Austin Dillon has been penalized for an L-1 Infraction following the NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway. Dillon’s crew chief Keith Rodden has been suspended for the next two races, and fined $75,000. Both RCR and Dillon have been docked 60 points and five playoff points. Prior to the penalty, the 32-year-old was 21st in the standings after nine races. NASCAR also suspended Chris Jackson (rear tire changer) and David Smith (jackman) of B.J. 78 Cup Series team because of the loss of a tire/wheel last weekend.
