RACING TO STAY SHARP ON A WEEKEND OFF

During the short break between round six of the 2020 FIA World Rallycross Championship at the NESTE World RX of Riga-Latvia and round seven at the Logitech World RX of Pirineus-Barcelona 2030 next week, drivers have been racing in different disciplines to stay sharp at the wheel of race cars and to increase their overall experience. Naturally, as rallycross circuits are made of part unsealed, part sealed surfaces, experience in circuit racing and off-road competition can be beneficial to any rallycross driver. He spent the weekend battling with World RX Esports star, Great Britain’s Tom Blomqvist. Kristoffersson finished P2 in two of the races, then won race three from pole position, but had to overtake Blomqvist during the race to take his 44th Carrera Cup win. He made a small mistake in race three, which was too bad because I would have liked to have taken the fight we had all the way to the finish line,” said Kristoffersson who will also race in the final round of the same series this weekend at Ring Knutstorp.
