Race Notes – Ocon takes first victory in action-packed Hungarian GP

After a wild start, Esteban Ocon won the Hungarian Grand Prix in his Alpine-Renault, 1.859 seconds ahead of Sebastian Vettel in the Aston Martin-Mercedes. Hamilton is running 1m21s laps while those ahead of him are running 1m22s and 1m23s laps. On lap 37 Vettel pits from second place for hard tyres and rejoins in third place. On lap 39 Alonso pits from the lead for hard tyres and rejoins in fifth. At lap 40 Ocon leads Vettel by 1.0 seconds, followed by Sainz (6.7s), Hamilton (8.0s), Alonso (16.6s), Tsunoda (25.1s), Gasly (29.3s), Latifi (32.0s), Russell (47.6s), Ricciardo (49.7s), Raikkonen (53.1s) and Verstappen (1m08.7s) in 12th place. At lap 50 Ocon leads Vettel by 0.8 seconds, followed by Sainz (5.2s), Alonso (6.4s), Hamilton (14.4s), Gasly (32.0s), Tsunoda (34.8s), Latifi (43.8s), Russell (1m00.3s), Ricciardo (1m02.0s) and Verstappen (1m03.8s) in 11th. On lap 67 Hamilton passes Sainz for third place into the first corner.
