Quartararo Scores German GP

GERMANY — Fabio Quartararo rode a textbook race to win his second straight MotoGP race in Sunday’s Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix at the Sachsenring. Quartararo rode his Yamaha into the lead in the start and was chased by Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia until Bagnaia crashed out on the fourth lap. Turning blistering lap times, Quartararo was 4.939 seconds ahead of Pramac Racing mounted Johann Zarco at the finish. I was super consistent throughout the race, first controlling the gap to Johann, and then finishing the race by a big distance is OK,” Quartararo said. “It’s a step forward for our confidence in the race. Fellow Frenchman Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac Racing) crossed the line in second place, with Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team) taking the final step on the podium in third.
