One-hit wonder: Armin Schwarz

Walter Röhrl claimed 17 wins and Achim Warmbold scored a brace, but only Armin Schwarz qualifies as a WRC one-hit wonder as a driver with a single FIA World Rally Championship success on his CV. But it was the making of Schwarz, who brought an Audi 200 Quattro to the finish in fifth place on his debut in the FIA World Rally Championship. Schwarz’s maiden WRC podium was the only good thing to come out of Toyota’s trip to Rally Australia in 1991, an event where lead driver Carlos Sainz rolled three times in five stages.
