The third and final part of our beginner’s guide to some of the slang used in MotoGP™ is here! TEAR OFF:These are plastic strips that are added to a rider’s visor on his helmet. During a race or practice session, visors can become dirty, so a rider can tear off the strip in order to clear his vision and have a new tear off to use. Any time a rider is braking into a corner and isn’t upright, it can be referred to as trail braking. Some riders are lucky and skilful enough save themselves from crashing in some situations. VISOR:The part of the helmet that allows the rider to see where they’re going. They will be making a wildcard appearance or the rider will be referred to as a wildcard.
