MAX VERSTAPPEN took victory in a tedious Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, with reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton way back in seventh. The biggest drama came before the race had even began in an otherwise dreary affair in Monte Carlo. It was left up to Carlos Sainz to keep the pressure up on Verstappen, with Brit Lando Norris up from fifth to the final spot on the podium. Verstappen would easily hold on to win the Monaco GP for the first time in his career. Sainz and Norris took the other podium places – with the Brit calling it ‘special’ to fulfil a lifelong ‘dream’.
