Ahead of what’s tipped to be one of the most exciting WRC2 rounds in the category’s history, championship leader Andreas Mikkelsen has revealed more details of his programme. Toksport Škoda Fabia driver Mikkelsen is the only WRC2 competitor who has tackled all three rallies so far this season – and he will continue to participate all the way through to round six at Safari Rally Kenya. “We will go to Portugal, Sardinia, basically, we do the first six rallies and then we wait,” he explained. “Doing the first six means we have some time in the second half of the year for testing and things like that. Drivers count their best six scores from seven nominated rallies for their final points tally.
