Mercedes set one-month deadline for Lewis Hamilton to commit his F1 future after confirming their 2021 line-up WILL be in place by the time they reveal their new car on March 2

Mercedes have set Lewis Hamilton a one-month deadline to sign a new contract after announcing the launch date for their new car. Valtteri Bottas is already confirmed but despite ongoing negotiations, seven-time world champion Hamilton is yet to sign a multi-year deal, though he stated two weeks ago that ‘lots of work was ongoing in the background.’. The March 2 date gives the 36-year-old exactly a month to sign a new contract – the 2021 F1 season is set to get underway with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 28.
