Aussie F1 rookie Oscar Piastri will get a supercharged start to his professional career at McLaren with Melbourne Park organisers promising it will be the fastest track yet. And his homecoming could be a baptism by fire with the Melbourne track to boast its fastest facing in its 26-year history. The new zone has been added to a 1.3km sweep around Albert Park Lake that will see cars reach speeds of up to 340km/h. ‘And it will be the fastest F1 race in history in Melbourne.’. ‘I was there last year as a reserve driver and it was a pretty electric atmosphere.
