McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo opens up on future and reveals he is ‘not too proud’ to take reserve role to remain F1

DANIEL RICCIARDO has revealed he wants to stay in Formula One and is “not too proud” to accept a reserve role to do so. Williams and Haas are realistic suitors for a full-time gig but Ricciardo has admitted he will be open a reserve role in one of the top teams. Even if it’s a reserve, I don’t want to be too proud to say I’m too good for that. But of course if there’s this longer project, and this one where you’re going to win tomorrow, of course I’m going to go for the quick wins. I don’t also want to be stubborn or short sighted and be like, ‘ah no I’m not interested in that’, I will give everything its respected thought.
