TULSA, Okla. — Keeping his cool the entire Junior Sprint feature, Tulsa native Mattix McBride held off the late race charge of Blayden Graham for his first career Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout victory in the Junior Sprints. Glued to the leader’s bumper, the pair broke rank with two laps to go. Rushing up the track, Graham pulled up on McBride as the pair raced around to the white flag. Not letting the challenge phase him, McBride held on to win by 0.168-seconds. Miken Iverson was right there through the closing laps after starting 12th but would end up settling for the show position.
